The club just received a very large hydro bill—nearly $3000 for Tyndall and Lochside combined—so we’re asking members to help in an effort to reduce energy costs. As a first step, we’ll be upgrading the clubhouse thermostats and, in the long term, replacing outdated field lights with more energy efficient units will make a real difference. For now, turning off clubhouse lights and, in particular, field lights when games and practices are over would really help to reduce our hydro bill.
If any of our members have ideas about conserving energy at the club, we’d welcome your suggestions.
